Community Bots, Inc. (“Community Bots,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to safeguarding your privacy across all our online services. This single document merges our two existing policies:
- Section 2 governs use of the CommunityBots.org website (“Website”).
- Section 3 governs use of the FutureCoder mobile application (“App”), also referred to here as the SPP (Security & Privacy Policy).
Except for rearranging them into one file, the texts below reproduce the original policies in full.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If we learn we have inadvertently collected such data, we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will post the revised policy with a new “Effective Date” on this page. Material changes may also be announced via email or an on-site notice. Your continued use of the Website after any update signifies acceptance of the revised Policy.

Community Bots, Inc. (“Community Bots,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard information when you use the FutureCoder application and any related services (collectively, the “App”). By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described below.

Program Selection Data – The program you select from the in-app drop-down (e.g., “CREA,” “Bronx Arts,” “I do not attend…”) is stored locally and sent in anonymized form to our backend API to help us understand which resources are most useful.
In-App Storage – Using Flutter SharedPreferences we store: userProgram (string) and hasSeenForm (boolean).
Legal basis: Legitimate Interest (to tailor content and ensure basic functionality).
4. What We Do Not Collect
- No account registration or personal identifiers (name, email, phone, student ID).
- No precise location, IP tracking, or background geolocation.
- No payment information inside the App.
- No persistent advertising identifiers or in-app advertising.
- No biometrics, photos, contacts, microphone, or camera data.
5. How We Use Your Information
- Operate & improve the App – display the correct language and content.
- Analytics (aggregate only) – evaluate which partner programs engage most with the App.
- Security – detect, prevent and respond to potential fraud or abuse. We do not sell or rent your data.

We share information only when necessary:
- Service Providers – that host or maintain our infrastructure (currently, our own server at CommunityBots.org).
- Legal Compliance – if required by law or valid legal process.
- Business Transfers – in the unlikely event of a merger, acquisition or asset sale, provided the successor honours this Policy.
7. Data Retention
- On-device:

- Program statistics: stored in aggregate, non-identifiable form indefinitely to track long-term impact.
8. International Transfers
Our servers are located in the United States. If you access the App from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. and subject to U.S. laws.
9. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of sale (we do not sell personal data). To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@communitybots.com.
Proof of identity may be required.
10. Children’s Privacy
FutureCoder is designed for general audiences but may be used by minors in educational settings. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently received such data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We use industry-standard safeguards, including HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, server firewalls, and access controls. However, no Internet transmission or storage system is 100% secure; use the App at your own risk.

The App contains links to third-party sites (e.g., Code.org, FreeCodeCamp). We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review their policies before providing any information.
